Gramigna, originally from Emilia Romagna, is a pasta shape similar to a short partially twisted bucatino. With its shape it recalls the tiny seed of one of the best known grass plants. Gramigna is traditionally paired with sausage-based sauces or Bolognese sauce. In general, all meat and tomato-based sauces are well combined with this shape. Other names used to indicate the “Gramigna" pasta shape: Gramiglia. Crestine. Fagioletti. Zitella. Tubetti.
